MSTR is a manual therapy working on releasing scars – however new or old they are. This can help with mobility/movement to the area, blood and lymphatic flow, and neural communication.

We can accumulate scars through surgery, trauma or burns that can cause stiffness, reduced range of motion and pain – not to forget the mental/emotional effect they may have on us. This gentle manual pressure technique can be adjusted for different kinds of scars with some surprising results.

If you have pain in an area, and you have had this area worked on, but the pain keeps reoccurring, and you have a scar on your body, I’d recommend getting the scar worked on.

Imagine you are Spider-Man – with a stretchy Spider-Man suit. If this suit (like your fascia layer) is torn and then ‘patched’, it will have a tight ‘tethered’ area that won’t stretch the same – this is the same effect as a scar has on your fascia. A scar can be in one area of the body but have a referred action on another area.
